We were excited about finding the perfect new car today, and booked a test drive for the C3 Aircross. Went for the test drive as planned but realised the car just feels too small. Upon hearing me say that, the salesman Hugh basically showed us to the door. The cup of tea we'd been offered minuted earlier utterly forgotten. I had then asked about the larger C5, but he didn't even ask if we wanted to see it. Just dismissed us entirely. Ah well, I guess we're off to a competitor then.
Friendly service kept informed of the process but very expensive for the initial investigatory checkup.
Few fantastic points but sadly more negative ones. Lets start with the positive. The salesman was initially more than helpful, and, the car itself is an absolute dream, couldn't have asked for more. They also repainted the roof and wing mirrors to match the advertisement after an error, which again, is more than I could have asked for. Sadly that's where the positive ends and the negative starts. Firstly I was told I couldn't buy the car on the day I wanted because "we want to meet our end of month targets". Then I was informed the car would be delivered, and ended up being driven. So the car has an extra 300 miles on it than advertised, and is down over 40 worth of fuel that they didn't replace. To top it off the car had been valeted in Scotland, driven to Manchester, and just left absolutely filthy on the outside. I have no qualms against the salesman, he was fantastic and extremely helpful. But the overall service was appalling considering I'm spending 7000.
Very friendly, non pushy staff, made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in and never pushed anything on me. So helpful and helped me get my dream car. Thank you to Alistair, Johnathan and the Sales Manager.
