I have been using this company for many years but recently got charged heavy cancellation fees because I forgot to cancel my "Continuous Payment Authority" & an old policy was renewed automatically. When I found out & stopped paying the direct debit they started to pile on more punitive charges.I do not doubt that Alexander McNicoll lawyers made sure that all the relevant weasel clauses are in any agreement & that they followed their procedures & that I should have read the small print however I somehow cheated.A very unpleasant experience indeed.Needles to say, all my insurance will now be purchased online where I can get this type of treatment free of charge.
