Employed Moffat for a refit of an already badly fitted shower room which was leaking into the kitchen below. I wanted the walls and floor sealed to guarantee it watertight but they refused to listen and slapped on a single coat of tanking to the walls only. Due in part to shoddy work on one of the walls it took less than a year for the seals to fail and I'm now faced with yet another refit. What a waste of time and money. I'm afraid they score a big fat zero on this scale but unfortunately I have to award at least one star in order to post this.
Bullies who use viscious office staff to make threats to force early payment. Excellent tradesmen but horrendous customer service. Avoid!
We had a 2,200 sqft extension carried out by Moffat and I can't recommend them enough. The build was done on time, was per the quoted price and we sailed through building standards. Davie keeps a tight control on the build, Sandra and Karen are fantastic in the office and Leigh connects the two worlds together. Great team to work with and delighted with our extension.
Absolute waste of time. This company was recommended by a neighbour so I was happy to contact them to give me a quote for work. Two wasted days later and no one turned up!Eventually someone contacted me saying they were unhappy about the situation.I tried to ask if they would evetually be coming out but the phone was hung up before I could ask.In my opinion don't go near them!
Had to chase them from the start to get their job done for the money we had already paid. Kept adding costs to things that were supposed to be included in the quote. Damaged our property. Had to stop employing them to afford the costs of fixing their mistakes. Would never be able to recommend them to anybody I'm afraid.
