Took my bike which as both the bike repair guy and I knew had a broken crank (it was obvious). They did not have black cranks (which my bike has), only silver. They did not answer four separate phone calls (one during the week when they were ostensibly open and 3 when they were closed it turned out) in which I tried to tell them what I wanted. I went in to get my bike on the weekend (as their hours are only 9-5 and don't suit most people with a job) because the service was so poor and nit only was my bike missing a part but I was told I owed 5 for "diagnostics". I try and support local bike shops but in this case, honestly, just go to Halfords. Better service, better hours and they get the job done. This is the worst experience getting my bike fixed that I have ever had.

Got my first roadbike from Nick at Hooked on Cycling. Everything from picking my bike to measuring and setting up my bike was very professional. I book my bike in for servicing every 4 months or so and my bike comes back functioning perfectly. It's my go to place when I need to pick up spares and bike cleaning kit. Highly recommended. When I purchase my 2nd bike I'm going to Hooked on Cycling to get it.
